Made of Manukau Terms and Conditions

Purpose: The Pop Up Store is funded by Ngahere Communities Ltd, Shopify and The Princes Trust NZ  to give young, Maori and/or South Auckland’s entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their locally made, sourced or distributed products in a retail store environment.  Entrepreneurs will also gain one on one training from the Shopify team to boost their online sales, marketing and funnels.

Date: Saturday 14 - Friday 20 December.  On Saturday 14 December we will have an opening night event to draw people into the space.  Merchants are expected to attend this event and use it as an opportunity to profile their brand.

Location: Te Haa o Manukau, 2 Osterley Way, Manukau.  This prime retail location is across the road from Westfield Manukau and the Manukau Transport Hub (Train and Bus Stations)

Setup:  This is a retail store, not a market, which will be fully staffed. There is high expectations for the standard of your products and their display.  Be creative!

Hours: The Pop Up Store will be open:

  • Sat & Sun - 4pm-7pm
  • Mon-Wed - 2pm-9pm
  • Thur & Fri - 2pm-10pm

Management and Payment: The Pop Up Store will be staffed by a retail assistant everyday, so you do not need to be there with your products, we do recommend you are present on the opening night if you are available.  All payments will go through one system, stock will be tracked, and funds will be transferred to you at the end of the project upon payment of your fees.

Fee: The cost for a place in the Pop Up Store is 5% of sales.  This will be deducted from your payout.

Marketing: A marketing plan is being developed and will include social media, direct email, posters and other forms of marketing to get the word out about your products and the store itself.
